Permalon M is a modified Molybdenum Disulfide
(MoS2) lubricant specially formulated to handle the demands
of extreme pressure, heavy loading from power transmission devices and other gearing.
When used on metal, plastic and rubber parts prior to production, quicker assembly and
less part damage is generally observed. Permalon M allows for maximum lubricity in
precision mechanical applications such as parking meters, business equipment, vending machines, etc. Permalon M contains no oil,
grease, or graphite and is suitable for use as a release coating for molding applications.
Permalon M dries to a thickness of 0.0003 to 0.0005 inches in 5 to 10 minutes
at room temperature. Once dried, Permalon M is ready for immediate use. Optimum
performance and longevity are obtained within this thickness range. On-the-job coating
and recoating are simple and cost effective procedures.
Permalon M allows for continuous performance at temperatures up to 390° F
and intermittent performance at temperatures up to 660° F. These temperature limits exceed
those of most spray coatings available to industry. This allows Permalon M to be used
in applications previously requiring more expensive coatings that are applied by others at off-site facilities.
