ABOUT PERMALON 327
Permalon 327 contains PTFE that was specifically developed for on the job application. It produces a low friction, permanent, non-stick, and antistatic surface. It is long lasting and does not require frequent respraying. Its chemical and physical properties are distinctly different from silicone oils and waxes.

Permalon 327 works best on continuous, prolonged light load lubrication points such as in vending machines, conveyors, hinges, door locks, zippers screw threads, saws and woodworking tools. It is compatible with most materials including wood, metal, fabric and most plastic and rubber compounds.

Permalon 327 is bonded to the surface with a specially developed thermoplastic resin binder that is long lasting (cures to the touch in five minutes) and achieves maximum bond strength and performance characteristics after about two hours at room temperature. For improved adhesion, parts coated with Permalon327 may be heated from 250° F to 500° F for 10 to 15 minutes.
LIMITATIONS OF PERMALON 327
Permalon 327 is moderately resistant to some inorganic corrosives such as sulfuric acid and sodium hydroxide; but it should not be considered as a protective coating against these corrosives. Avoid use with organic solvents, esters, ketones, and alcohols.

Permeable plastics, wood and fabric materials will often absorb Permalon 327 and dimensionally increase in size. Close tolerance parts made of these materials should be tested before use to determine dimensional change. Absorption into a material often can result in higher bond strength and longer wear life.
